Preparing to Celebrate Education Sunday in September 2023
The start of the new academic year is always busy, with both staff and young people settling back into the daily rhythms of teaching, learning, and, in Catholic schools, the routines of daily Collective Worship.
This year, we are working in partnership with the Catholic Education Service to help you celebrate the 175th Education Sunday, which this year falls on Sunday 10th September.
What is Ten Ten Resources providing and when will it be available?
Inspired by the Gospel for Sunday 10th September, we are delighted to be able to provide the following free resources, for both primary and secondary schools:
- Assembly: “Where two or three meet in my name…”
- Daily Classroom Prayers: Be With Us Lord
- Staffroom Prayer: “I Shall Be There…”
The resources feature short videos with words of encouragement for staff and students from Bishop Marcus Stock (Chair of the Catholic Education Service) and they will be freely available on this Education Sunday Resources webpage from Monday 17th July.
For primary schools who subscribe to our Collective Worship resources, these resources linked to Education Sunday will be the weekly resources for the w/c 11th September 2023.
Connecting with your local Catholic parishes for Education Sunday
The Catholic Education Service has also produced an Education Sunday 2023: Guidance for Schools and Parishes document with suggestions of how schools and parishes might like to connect in order to celebrate Education Sunday together.
