What’s in the CPD Package and what’s new for 2023-2024?
Programme-Related CPD
Our Programme-related CPD sessions provide new staff, current staff, SLT, headteachers and governors with further training and insight about how to lead our core curriculum programmes, Life to the Full and Collective Worship.
On-boarding Sessions
If you have staff new to your school or using our resources for the first time, then our On-boarding sessions are a great place to start. These short sessions will help them understand the structure and navigation and to know how to get started.
Deep Dive Sessions
We also take Deep Dives into some of the more sensitive topics, providing an opportunity to expand your subject knowledge and feel confident in teaching children and young people about them. Two of our Deep Dive sessions this year will focus on Misogyny and AI.
Parent Session
We are also planning a new parent session for October, ‘How to talk to your child about pornography’.
Staffroom Shorts
If you are looking for a quick and easy way to add CPD to your school calendar, then our new Staffroom Shorts are for you. We will be releasing six series of short CPD videos on a range of topics over the course of the year. These 5 minute videos are designed to be used in staff meetings to boost teacher confidence and improve subject knowledge.
The Staffroom Shorts series that will be released in the Autumn include:
- Catholic Life – covering topics like prayer, the Mass and the Bible.
- Life to the Full – covering topics like virtues, the conscience and Catholic Social Teaching.
- The Liturgical Year – covering topics like Advent, Lent and Easter.
Iron Sharpen Iron Sessions
This year our new ‘Iron Sharpen Iron’ sessions will bring together teachers from across the country to answer your questions, share best practice and deepen your understanding of how best to facilitate Life to the Full.
