COP26 Video Prayer (CE Version)
31 October to 12 November
This resource can be used in schools at the beginning or during COP26 – the annual UN organised climate change summit. However, this year’s conference is a really important one: many climate scientists agree that this is the world’s last chance* to act to bring climate change under control. Over the 12 days of the conference, which is taking place in Glasgow, many countries will be rethinking what they can do and committing to making changes for the benefit of everyone. This prayer informs children about what the conference is, helps them understand what it means for Christians to be called stewards of the Earth and invites them to pray that the world leaders attending will use their decision-making power wisely and compassionately.

You might like to use this opportunity to discuss climate change further with your class: its impacts, but also what children can do to help protect the earth. Check out the COP26 Schools’ Pack and be inspired.
The Five Day Examen

Along with our partners, The Jesuits, we have created a simple but beautiful resource for use in the classroom called The Five-Day Examen. Based on the traditional Ignatian meditation, this resource has been specially adapted so it can be used by class teachers at the end of each school day in a simple way to create a prayerful and reflective atmosphere.
A Prayer for SATs Season

During May, KS1 and KS2 SATs take place. Particularly in KS2 where greater emphasis is placed on preparing for SATs throughout the school year, some pupils can tend towards anxiety and worry. This prayer resource can be used at any point throughout the year to help children prepare and pray for their SATs, with a focus remembering that Jesus is with us and gives us peace
