Daily Classroom Prayers
w/c 30 September 2019
This week’s daily prayers focus on the theme of Sharing is Caring. We explore this theme through the story Jesus told of the rich man and his treatment of Lazarus, a poor man who lived at his gates. The Scripture touches on what happens to the men after they die, and encourages the children to think about how the rich man could have acted very differently towards Lazarus.
We consider different ways children can share their time, love and possessions with others at school, at home and with their worldwide family. We also reflect on why sharing is not always easy and celebrate those within our schools that provide a good example of caring through sharing.
How to Lead
Before you start each day, you might like to prepare a simple prayer focus, for example a green cloth for Ordinary time, a candle and an open Bible at the relevant story. Invite the children to gather round the prayer focus, with a good view of the IWB for the presentation each day.
The Prayer Leader could be a child or another adult working in the classroom.

You may wish to use slide 21 as an opportunity for the pupils to think of ways to raise money for children around the world that do not have enough to eat, clean water to drink or a place to live.
