Life to the Full teaches Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) for secondary schools in England and Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) for secondary schools in Wales, within the context of a Christian understanding of human sexuality rooted in the wisdom and teaching of the Catholic Church.

Relationships, Sex and Health Education
A New Statutory Subject
Given that RSHE is now a statutory subject for all schools, we are embracing “the challenges of creating a happy and successful adult life” by giving pupils knowledge “that will enable them to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, health and relationships” (DFE Statutory Guidance).
We enable your school to deliver the teaching through the prism of Catholic RSHE. The framework of our programme is taken from the Model Catholic RSE Programme by the Catholic Education Service, which has been highlighted by the Department of Education as a work of good practice.

Scheme of Work
There are 35 sessions in Life to the Full plus 7 cinema-in-education programmes.
This means that every year group has:
- 7 lessons per year, or
- 14 lessons per year if using extended activities (recommended)
- 1 cinema-in-education programme per year, which could be delivered over 3 lessons or on a drop-down day
Please note that we only provide cinema-in-education sessions for Sixth Form. Year 12 and 13 may undertake the programmes for Years 9-11. In future years, original material may be made available for Sixth Form so there is continuous study for all students.

Headteachers, Governors and SLT
As a Headteacher, Governor or member of SLT in a Catholic school, you have a specific responsibility to ensure that your Relationship, Sex and Health Education scheme of work is fit-for-purpose in terms of the DfE statutory guidance and the expectations of your diocese.
For almost 2 years, Ten Ten has been working in partnership with almost all Catholic dioceses in England and Wales, as well as the Catholic Education Service, to create a fully-resourced scheme of work that will not only meet the new statutory guidance but will provide a truly faith-based programme which will provide the foundation to enable the entire school community to build positive and healthy relationships now and in the future.
We have two E-Learning Training Courses:
- Schools in England: produced in partnership with the Catholic Education Service and funded by the Department of Education
- Schools in Wales: produced in partnership with the Catholic Education Service and funded by the Assumption Legacy Fund

One of the most distinctive features of a Catholic Relationships, Sex and Health Education programme should be emphasising the vital role that parents have in nurturing their children on these matters. Ten Ten provides a variety of resources and tools to help you engage with your parents.
- Parent Consultation Tool provides parents and carers with a full and honest appraisal of the Life to the Full programme, and it provides you with the means to open up consultation.
- Online Parent Portal provides an overview for parents of every session, including suggestions for Home Learning activities.
