Headteachers, Governors, SLT
A programme in RSE for Catholic secondary schools
As a Headteacher, Governor or member of SLT in a Catholic school, you have a specific responsibility to ensure that your Relationship and Sex Education scheme of work is fit-for-purpose in terms of the DfE statutory guidance and the expectations of your diocese.
For almost 2 years, Ten Ten has been working in partnership with 11 Catholic dioceses in England and Wales, as well as the Catholic Education Service, to create a fully-resourced scheme of work that will not only meet the new statutory guidance but will provide a truly faith-based programme which will provides the foundation to enable the entire school community to build positive and healthy relationships now and in the future.
We have produced a document titled "Enabling Catholic secondary schools to fulfil the statutory RSE curriculum". Aimed at Headteachers, Governors and RE Coordinators, this document highlights important information for schools from the statutory guidance and draws on key Church documents for Catholic educators to come up with 10 Principles for Catholic RSE.
