Daily Classroom Prayers
Collective Worship for Church of England schools
When Jesus was baptised, the Holy Spirit came down ‘like a dove’ and throughout the Bible, the dove is seen as a symbol of peace. Therefore, this week’s prayers help children to explore this beatitude:
‘Happy the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.’
Matthew 5:9
Pupils will consider what it means to promote peace in their own lives and amongst others, learning that God is the source of all peace.
